We were not too lucky during my two week vacation in Iceland last winter. A broken car, slushy days and snow storms made it a bit challenging to go on trips. Luckily there are some nice hiking areas easily reached from Reykjavík, even on snowy days in borrowed cars!

Hafravatn – in winter it is easy to walk across the lake
Angelica archangelica
Heiðmörk
