Birches always remind me of the north, with downy birch and dwarf birch being common species in subarctic and arctic ecosystems, I gathered different birch leaves in the park and laid them on sheet of linoleum with paint rolled on. After printing this a first time, the paint fades, the imprint of the leaves is left on the linoleum and the leaves themselves have a layer of paint on them. Then you can start playing around with printing in different ways.
