What if we stop thinking of biodiversity decline and extinction as yes/no, linear and additive things? Between all those living species, sky, water and earth there are all kinds of relations running through the landscape like subtle threads. Everything is connected. Has to be connected. What if it’s not just a simple loss of components, but a more general and slow unraveling of the relationships and webs around us? Will they reconfigure, and how?
