In February the daylight had returned to a sufficient extent that we could hike from Longyearbyen to Bjørndalen on Svalbard. It was one of the few opportunities for hiking during my stay at UNIS for a PhD course, since we needed at least some daylight, good weather and a rifle to be able to go out safely. Still, all we got was some hours of twilight at best.

I lost my phone in the snow and as by a miracle I managed to retrace my steps and dig it up somewhere. I wonder how many lost items appear from under the snow in spring.
