An autumn walk in the woods near Oslo. Two large birds of prey (I couldn’t spot which ones), many little mosses and lichens, and many bruises from climbing over slippery rocks and fallen tree trunks.

A mirror world in a still, dark lake
Is it a lichen, or the logo of a black metal band..?
Microhabitats in a peatland; different water levels are associated with different species, and, thereby, different colours of peat moss (Sphagnum).
Trails red with pine needles along elevated ridges
A beautiful red peat moss (Sphagnum rubellum..? Should have brought a hand lens and moss flora!)
Cladonia coccifera
An amazingly graceful lichen (Cladonia stellaris?) and lingonberry
More of the red peat moss , lingonberry and Pleurozium schreberi
