An autumn walk in the woods near Oslo. Two large birds of prey (I couldn’t spot which ones), many little mosses and lichens, and many bruises from climbing over slippery rocks and fallen tree trunks.

Microhabitats in a peatland; different water levels are associated with different species, and, thereby, different colours of peat moss (Sphagnum).
